Islamabad: The details of the candidates for the National and Provincial Assembly seats across the country have been released.
A total of 17,816 candidates are participating in the general elections to be held on February 8, 2024. 5,121 candidates are in the fray for 266 National Assembly constituencies.
4807 men, 312 women and two transgenders are participating in the National Assembly elections. 3248 independent candidates are in the fray for the general seats of the National Assembly.
12695 candidates are participating in the election on the provincial assembly seats. 8537 independent candidates and 4158 candidates of political parties are participating in the election.
Four eunuchs are also contesting elections on provincial assembly seats across the country.
6710 candidates are participating in the elections for Punjab Assembly seats, 2878 for Sindh Assembly, 1834 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 1273 candidates for Balochistan Assembly.
