Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control and around the world are observing India’s Republic Day as a black day on Friday to protest India’s continued denial of their democratic right to self-determination.
The call to celebrate this day has been given by the All-Party Hurriyat Conference and other pro-liberation organizations.
On the occasion of this day, a complete strike will be held in India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, while anti-India demonstrations will be held in Azad Kashmir and world capitals.
Meanwhile, India has stepped up its crackdown in the region with unprecedented lockdowns and additional check posts targeting people in the name of security.
