Independent candidate from PP 35 along with sons arrested in May 9 case

Police on Sunday arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI)-backed independent candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Yousuf from PP-35 along with his sons in the May 9 riots case.

Chaudhry Muhammad Yusuf and his brother-in-law were arrested from DC Colony in Gujranwala. Police said Yusuf and his sons were wanted in the May 9 riots case.

On May 9, protests broke out across the country after the former prime minister was detained in the premises of the Islamabad High Court in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.
