The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to form a high-level committee to investigate the allegations leveled by the Rawalpindi Commissioner regarding the general elections.
The decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the Election Commission held in Islamabad. The members of the commission participated in the meeting.
Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and Member Punjab Babar Hasan Bharwana participated in the online meeting.
It was decided in the meeting that a committee headed by a senior member of the Election Commission will record the statements of Rawalpindi District Returning Officer and Returning Officers.
The committee has been given the task of submitting its report to the Election Commission within three days.
