Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik, expressed strong criticism of the upcoming elections in the region, labelling them as a deceptive spectacle that misrepresents the situation for the people of Kashmir. In an interview with PTV News, she condemned the elections as a continuation of India’s efforts to suppress the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri populace. Mullick also voiced concern over the controversial grant of domicile rights to non-residents and warned that they may participate in the electoral process while disguised as locals. She accused India of perpetuating a false narrative of normalcy in a region that remains heavily militarized. Mullick emphasized the ongoing struggle of the Kashmiri people against oppression and pledged to continue advocating for their right to self-determination both locally and internationally.
