On Monday, Lin Jian, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, reaffirmed Beijing’s steadfast support for Pakistan, stating that no actions aimed at disrupting the trust and cooperation between the two nations will be successful. Lin emphasized that China will continue to back Pakistan’s efforts in counterterrorism and will “steadfastly protect” Chinese citizens and enterprises abroad. He reassured, “China and Pakistan are fully committed to thwarting any plans that seek to undermine our relations and to bringing terrorists to justice.”
Describing the partnership as an “evergreen strategic cooperative partnership,” Lin highlighted the strong mutual trust that exists between the two countries. He reassured, “Any efforts to erode our trust and collaboration will not work.” This resilience of our partnership is a testament to our shared commitment.
