ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday gave the directive to the pertinent authorities to upgrade the outdated power grid of Chitral with state-of-the-art infrastructure to guarantee an uninterrupted flow of electricity to the inhabitants, as per Republic Policy.
He instructed the Ministry of Power to work in conjunction with the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Board and create a blueprint for this objective.
During a high-level conference to address the power issues in Chitral, the prime minister ordered Minister for Power Khurram Dastagir Khan, and the Secretary Power Division to present a report after holding a meeting in Peshawar.
PM Sharif also emphasized the need for immediate measures to decrease power outages in Chitral.
He stated that providing amenities for the people of distant and underprivileged regions was the government’s top priority.
