FIFA World Cup Begins with a Scintillating Ceremony

The mega event of Soccer, FIFA World Cup 2022, began with a colourful ceremony in Al Khor city, Qatar, on Sunday. Teams will play the World Cup matches in eight cities in Qatar.

A total of 32 teams, including host Qatar, have qualified for the tournament, which will be the first time football’s biggest event takes place in the Middle East. Teams will play sixty-four matches in the World Cup, and the two best teams will play the Final match on the 18th of next month.
Qatar has spent over two hundred and twenty-nine billion dollars on building the most extensive infrastructure for World Cup events.
There is tight security around the stadium perimeter as fans continue to arrive.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on behalf government and the people of Pakistan, has extended best wishes to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and the brotherly people of the country for hosting the football World Cup. He said the world would experience the best of Qatar’s history, culture and hospitality.
