The former Prime Minister emphasized that the two concepts, responsibility and authority, are inseparable and a system cannot function if they are not held by the same person.
“A system will not operate effectively if the army chief holds the authority while the Prime Minister bears the responsibility,” Khan stated. When asked about his relationship with the military as a former Prime Minister, Khan explained that all military policies in Pakistan hinge on a single individual.
