The report said the crown prince told US Congress members that he’s risking his life by pursuing a major deal with the US and Israel. This deal, which includes improving ties between Saudi Arabia and Israel, is seen as a significant step towards [specific benefits of the deal].
He has mentioned Anwar Sadat, the Egyptian leader who was killed after making peace with Israel, and asked what the US did to protect Sadat. He explained that there are threats against him and said that any deal should outline a clear plan for a Palestinian state, especially after the recent conflict in Gaza, which saw [specific details of the conflict], increased anger against Israel.
The information about MBS’ discussions was shared with Politico’s correspondent by a former US official and two others with knowledge of the talks.
Despite the looming danger, the report highlighted the crown prince’s unwavering commitment to the deal with the US and Israel.
