Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has delivered a firm warning to India, making it clear that Pakistan is fully prepared to defend itself against any threat—whether military aggression or water-related provocation.
Speaking at the passing-out parade of cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, General Munir addressed the rising tensions with India head-on, stating, “Pakistan knows how to defend its homeland.” His comments come as relations between the two countries deteriorate following the Pahalgam attack and India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.
General Munir also took aim at Indian media and social platforms, accusing them of twisting historical truths and spreading misinformation. “Godi media and their online propaganda can’t erase history. No amount of spin can undo the facts,” he said.
Reinforcing the ideological foundation of Pakistan, General Munir passionately defended the Two-Nation Theory—the belief that Muslims and Hindus are two distinct nations with different values, beliefs, and aspirations. “Our ancestors gave immense sacrifices to carve out this nation. Their vision and struggle are what built Pakistan, and that legacy lives on,” he told the cadets.
He emphasized that the Two-Nation Theory remains central to Pakistan’s identity, declaring that there’s “no doubt among Pakistanis” about the importance of this foundational belief. Referring to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision, the Army Chief underscored that the creation of Pakistan was not just political—it was a necessity rooted in deep civilizational differences.
The Army Chief’s address comes amid growing concern over regional stability. With diplomatic channels heating up and cross-border rhetoric intensifying, General Munir’s message was clear: Pakistan will not be intimidated—on land, online, or in matters of vital national resources.
