Pakistan to offer a flood reconstruction plan at today’s Geneva meeting

GENEVA – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Geneva late Sunday night to co-host an international conference on ‘Climate Resilient Pakistan’ with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

The international conference, which will unveil the ‘Resilient Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction Framework’ (4RF) today, is aimed at rallying help to reconstruct Pakistan following unprecedented floods.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Climate Change Minister Sherry Rehman, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Marryium Aurangzeb joined PM Shehbaz, according to a statement published by the PM’s Office.

The framework offers a vision for flood-affected communities’ rehabilitation and rebuilding, as well as the need for global assistance and long-term collaboration.
