According to private news agency, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated his commitment to holding same-day elections across Pakistan, during a media briefing in London on Friday after meeting with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.

He stressed that all institutions should work within the limits of the constitution and that legislation is the prerogative of parliament. The PM added that the entire nation is in agreement on the importance of same-day elections, which would contribute to the betterment of both the people and the country.
He also expressed confidence that Nawaz Sharif would soon return to Pakistan. The younger Sharif is currently in London representing Pakistan at the coronation ceremony of King Charles-III.
