On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have once again emphasized the government’s firm commitment to eliminating corruption at all levels.
In their separate messages, both leaders highlighted that the day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility of nations to combat corruption, promote transparency, and ensure accountability. President Zardari pointed out that corruption erodes public trust, drains essential resources, and hinders socio-economic progress. He stressed that Pakistan remains committed to fighting corruption by implementing strict accountability measures and promoting transparency in governance.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed similar sentiments, describing corruption as a destructive force that damages economic growth and social cohesion. He stressed that Pakistan’s youth deserves a future free from corruption. The Prime Minister called on all citizens to contribute to building a corruption-free society and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to using public resources efficiently for the welfare of the people.
