Israel has issued a chilling warning to the people of Tehran following a deadly overnight missile attack by Iran that killed at least five Israeli civilians and injured dozens more.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz delivered the threat in a strongly worded statement, declaring that Iran’s capital will “pay the price – and soon” for what he described as a deliberate assault on Israel’s civilian population.

Taking direct aim at Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Katz called him a “boastful dictator turned cowardly murderer,” accusing him of targeting Israeli homes in an attempt to stop the Israeli military from continuing its campaign to dismantle Iran’s military infrastructure.

Katz made his remarks via his Telegram channel, emphasizing that Tehran’s aggression would not go unanswered. “The residents of Tehran will pay the price,” he warned, suggesting that further Israeli strikes inside Iran could be imminent.

The sharp escalation in rhetoric and attacks has deepened fears of a broader regional conflict, as both nations continue trading deadly blows with little sign of backing down. The international community has urged restraint, but both Tehran and Tel Aviv appear to be preparing for the next round of confrontation.
