Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Strikes on Kuwait, Warns of Regional Escalation

[post-views]

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned recent Iranian attacks targeting military and civilian sites in Kuwait, calling them “heinous” and a serious threat to regional stability. In a statement issued Monday, the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry described the strikes as “cowardly” and said they reflect a continued hostile approach by Iran that violates international law and norms of good neighbourly relations.

According to Kuwaiti authorities, at least ten military personnel were injured when an Iranian missile struck a Kuwaiti Armed Forces camp on Sunday, causing material damage. In a separate incident, a power and water desalination facility was also hit. The attack killed one Indian worker and damaged part of the infrastructure, officials confirmed.

Saudi Arabia warned that such actions risk further escalation across the region, stressing that they cannot be justified under any circumstances. The Kingdom reaffirmed its support for Kuwait and urged restraint to prevent the situation from worsening.

The attacks highlight growing tensions in the Gulf, raising concerns about the safety of critical infrastructure and the potential for a broader regional conflict if hostilities continue.
