Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb, has departed for the United States to attend the World Bank Group–IMF Spring Meetings 2026, scheduled from April 13 to 18 in Washington, D.C. Ahead of the main meetings, he will visit Boston to participate in the Pakistan Conference at Harvard University, where he will engage with academics, policymakers, and the Pakistani diaspora to present Pakistan’s economic outlook and reform agenda.

During the visit, Aurangzeb will take part in key sessions hosted by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, alongside numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings with global financial leaders. He is also scheduled to meet senior officials from major institutions such as the International Finance Corporation and Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.

The finance minister will engage with US officials, international investors, and representatives of partner countries including China, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates to strengthen economic cooperation.

He will also highlight Pakistan’s reform progress, investment potential, and digital financial initiatives, including the Benazir Income Support Programme and Roshan Digital Accounts. Over 50 high-level engagements are planned, reflecting Pakistan’s active role in global economic discussions.
