The security forces put a stop to two rogue actors in a heated exchange of bullets in the Esham region of North Waziristan District, according to the military’s media branch, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). A cache of weapons and ammunition were also seized from the fallen militants, who were known to be involved in disruptive activities against the security forces.
In a statement, the ISPR praised the bravery of the security forces and emphasized the zero tolerance policy of the Pakistan Army towards terrorism and any acts of violence. The ISPR declared, “This successful encounter re-affirms our unwavering resolve to clean up the streets and keep our country safe from harm’s way.”
Last week, another one-man army was neutralized in a smart operation in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan. As the security forces approached, the terrorist retaliated, resulting in a fiery exchange of bullets. However, the security forces emerged victorious, confiscating weapons and ammunition from the fallen terrorist. The ISPR stated that the terrorist was actively causing chaos and was involved in both disruptive activities against security forces and the merciless killing of innocent citizens.
