In a tragic incident that highlights Karachi’s ongoing battle with street crime, a Pakistani-Canadian national lost his life when he valiantly resisted a robbery attempt in the Nazimabad area of the bustling city. According to The Republic Policy News, the victim, Amin Alvi, was accompanied by four street children during a shopping trip when they were confronted by the robbers near Board Office.
Authorities revealed that prior to the incident, Alvi, a Pakistani-Canadian citizen, had visited both a bank and a currency exchange center before embarking on the shopping excursion with the children. Recounting the horrifying ordeal, one of the children who was with Alvi explained that two armed individuals on a motorcycle approached their car. One of the assailants dismounted from the bike and approached the victim, demanding that he surrender his money and other valuable possessions.
