LAHORE (republic policy) – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will participate in Tuesday’s 23rd meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of States through video-link.
During the meeting, the leaders will deliberate on important global and regional issues and chart the future direction of cooperation among SCO member states.
The Indian Prime Minister has invited the Prime Minister to attend the meeting in his capacity as the current Chair of the SCO.
This year, the SCO Council of Heads of State will welcome Iran as a new organisation member.
The prime minister’s participation in the meeting illustrates Pakistan’s high importance to the SCO as an important forum for regional security and prosperity and enhanced engagement with the region.
