Pakistan and Switzerland have officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on disaster management, solidifying their commitment to collaborate in mitigating the impact of natural calamities through the use of technology and expertise.
During the ceremony held in Islamabad on Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his anticipation for the Swiss cooperation in acquiring an advanced warning system and other cutting-edge tools to enhance Pakistan’s resilience against natural disasters.
In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of proactive measures in safeguarding the nation from the devastating consequences of such events. He emphasized the need for a strong partnership between Pakistan and Switzerland, leveraging their collective resources and knowledge to effectively respond to and manage potential catastrophes.
