US Sends B-52 Bombers to the Middle East to Warn Iran

The US military announced on Saturday that B-52 bombers have arrived in the Middle East. This comes a day after the US said they would be sending these planes to send a message to Iran.

The bombers came from Minot Air Force Base and are part of the US Central Command, which oversees military operations in the region.

On Friday, the US also said it would be sending fighter jets, tanker aircraft, and missile defense destroyers to the area. A Pentagon spokesperson warned that if Iran or its allies attack American personnel or interests, the US will fully defend its people.

Israel recently conducted airstrikes on Iran, targeting military sites, while avoiding critical nuclear and oil facilities. Iran’s leadership has promised retaliation for these attacks.

In 2024, Iran has launched two significant attacks against Israel – one in April after an incident at its consulate in Damascus, and another in October in response to the assassination of leaders of groups it supports in the region.
