At least ten people lost their lives, and several others were injured when a bomb struck a vehicle carrying laborers in southwestern Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

The explosion occurred on Friday in the Harnai district when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated as a truck carrying coal miners passed by. Officials confirmed that most of the victims were from northwestern Pakistan, including the Swat Valley.

Seventeen miners were in the truck at the time of the attack. Several survivors sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital, where two remain in critical condition.
