Meeting of the delegation of Dairy Farmers Association with Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi: The delegation apprised Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi about the problems of livestock and dairy farming. Chief Minister gave instructions on the spot for immediate resolution of the problems.
Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has imposed a ban on inter-provincial transportation of maize in Punjab. Maize will not be able to be taken out of the province to meet the needs of livestock especially poultry industry and dairy farming in Punjab.
The ban will benefit the local poultry industry of Punjab. Instructions have been issued to DPOs and Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts to stop the transportation and movement of maize on the internal and external routes of Punjab. Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s issued directions to prepare livestock policy of Punjab.
