Leaving more than a billion Indian fans heartbroken, Australia thrashed India to win the World Cup 2023 final and bagged their sixth top ODI title on Sunday.
Despite suffering early blows, the Kangaroos sailed through India’s 241-run target courtesy of Travis Head’s brilliant 137-run knock. The left-handed batter stood tall and anchored the innings for his side in the all-important match.
Head was greatly supported by a calm and composed Marnus Labuschagne as the right-hander slowly started his innings and played while rotating the strike, allowing him to find the moments and hit boundaries.
