Holy Quran recited as earthquake rattles Swat

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake rattled several areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, including Swat, causing people to rush out of their homes in panic and recite verses from the Holy Quran, according to a report by Republic Policy News on Sunday.

No loss of life or property damage was reported from any part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the quake, which was also felt in Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, and other districts.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad stated that the epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of 154 kilometers in the Koh-e-Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan.
