In Islamabad, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has promised to maintain cordial relations with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir once he comes into power.
During an interview with foreign media at the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Khan stated that he has never spoken negatively about COAS General Asim Munir and plans to uphold a positive relationship with the army chief after being elected.

The former Prime Minister alleged that some people have been misleading the army chief about him and that he has already sent a message to the army chief to address this issue.
Khan dismissed claims of receiving any judicial relief and declared that he was abducted before being handed an arrest warrant while in jail. He went on to claim that upon reaching the court, he was informed that people had been killed and had previously warned about the consequences of his arrest.
