Some killings are also believed to have been carried out using the “religious method” by recruiting Islamists who believed they were targeting “infidels.”
According to the allegations, up to 20 assassinations have taken place in Pakistan since 2020 by unknown gunmen. It is believed that the assassinations increased after the 2019 Pulwama attack in Kashmir.
