With the death toll in Israeli aggression on Gaza surpassing the 14,000 mark — including around 6,000 children — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has summoned his war cabinet amid growing signs of an imminent deal on the release of hostages.
“I hope there will be good news soon,” Netanyahu told Israeli soldiers at a military base in the country’s north.
Shortly afterwards, his office released a statement saying that “in light of the developments regarding the release of our hostages”, the war cabinet, security cabinet, and the government will meet in succession on Tuesday evening.
