Pakistan and China Reaffirm Strong Ties, Unite Against Regional Tensions and Unilateral Actions

Pakistan and China have once again reaffirmed their deep-rooted partnership and commitment to regional peace, stability, and mutual respect, during a high-level call between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, according to state-run Radio Pakistan.

In the conversation held on Sunday, Dar updated Wang Yi on the escalating regional situation, particularly in light of growing tensions with India following New Delhi’s unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. He firmly rejected what he described as India’s “illegal actions” and “baseless propaganda” against Pakistan.

Dar expressed gratitude for China’s consistent and steadfast support, calling the Pakistan-China alliance an “iron-clad friendship” built on shared values and trust. He also reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to further strengthen cooperation in all areas—political, economic, and strategic.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of standing united against unilateralism and hegemonic policies, emphasizing that close coordination and communication between their countries would continue at every level to promote peace, security, and sustainable development in the region.

This diplomatic exchange comes as part of a broader effort by Pakistan to engage regional allies amid increasing friction with India. Over the past 48 hours, Dar has also spoken with his counterparts in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Iran to discuss the unfolding situation.
