Pakistan has strongly criticized India for deflecting its internal problems by falsely blaming Pakistan for various incidents, according to Director General of ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.
Speaking to international media in Rawalpindi today, alongside senior officials from the Pakistan Air Force and Navy, Chaudhry said India is trying to divert attention from its own domestic crises by externalizing issues. He stressed that Kashmir remains an internationally recognized disputed region, yet India is attempting to portray it as an internal matter to mislead the world.
“India has a long history of targeting innocent people for political gain, blaming Pakistan, and then covering up its actions by killing more innocent Kashmiris and Muslims—branding them as terrorists,” Chaudhry stated. He cited the recent Pahalgam incident, where India pointed fingers at Pakistan within minutes, without any investigation.
To back his claims, Chaudhry showcased video clips of Indian civilians, Kashmiri leaders, Indian officials, and even retired military officers criticizing their own government’s handling of the Pahalgam incident, calling it a major security failure. He also accused Indian media of fabricating stories to frame Pakistan.
Chaudhry alleged that India suppresses independent voices by banning thousands of social media accounts and restricting platforms like X (formerly Twitter) in Pakistan, ensuring the Indian public only hears state-approved narratives.
He went further, accusing India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan—especially in Balochistan—and being involved in transnational killings, including incidents in Canada.
“Pakistan stands as a frontline state against terrorism, not just for its own people but for global peace,” Chaudhry emphasized. He warned that India’s efforts to disrupt Pakistan’s counterterrorism operations could destabilize the entire region.
Chaudhry condemned India’s social media blackouts, saying, “India doesn’t have the moral courage to face the truth or allow open discussion.”
Highlighting the human toll, Chaudhry revealed that 33 Pakistani civilians—including five children and seven women—have been martyred in recent unprovoked Indian attacks. He shared heartbreaking images of the victims, urging the world to remember these innocent lives before questioning Pakistan’s actions.
He also accused India of violating international laws by attacking mosques and desecrating the Holy Quran. Detailing Pakistan’s defensive response, Chaudhry said the Pakistan Air Force has successfully shot down multiple Indian aircraft, including Rafale jets, a MiG-29, an SU-30, and various drones.
“Whatever advanced weapons India sends, we are turning them into debris—and we will keep doing it,” he declared. He emphasized that Pakistan’s military targets only Indian military installations, never innocent civilians or holy sites, in strict adherence to its moral and cultural values.
Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed also addressed the media, presenting evidence of India’s downed aircraft and debunking Indian media’s false claims about Pakistani missile strikes.
Chaudhry concluded by warning that India’s agenda—blaming Pakistan for incidents like Pahalgam—is aimed at distracting Pakistan from its war on terror, allowing Indian-backed extremist groups to escalate their activities.
