Security forces have reported the successful elimination of three terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Tirah region of Khyber District, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.

The ISPR statement indicates that the operation was executed on the night spanning September 25th to 26th, following credible information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

The engagement between security forces and the terrorists escalated into a fierce firefight, ultimately resulting in the neutralization of three terrorists, as outlined in the statement.

Among the terrorists was Commander Kifayat, also known as Tor Adnan, who had been actively engaged in a series of terrorist activities targeting both law enforcement agencies and innocent civilians, the statement added.

The security forces are currently conducting a thorough area sweep to ensure the complete eradication of any remaining terrorists.
