The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shone a light on their latest creation, the 24-karat ‘Supernova Trophy,’ at a glitzy ceremony in Lahore’s Shalimar Gardens. The celebration was graced by the likes of Najam Sethi, Chairperson of the PCB Management Committee, and other distinguished figures from the cricket world.
This dazzling trophy, a testament to Pakistan’s exceptional craftsmanship, was made in-country and will serve as the centerpiece of the upcoming 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The first match of the PSL 8 will kick off on February 13, with Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans going head to head at the Multan cricket stadium, leading up to the grand finale at Gaddafi stadium on March 19.
The Supernova Trophy is an embodiment of the national cricket team’s motto of Unity, Passion, and Strength, with its three pillars symbolizing the same. The trophy’s main pillar, adorned with crystals, represents the unwavering dedication and hard work that has been put in to bring the team to its success.
Najam Sethi spoke highly of the PSL, acknowledging its place in his heart and affirming his commitment to making it bigger, better, and stronger every year.
