This isn’t just about finding a job; it’s about empowering a generation to build a brighter future for themselves and the nation.

The project “Skills Matter More Than Degrees” aims to shift the focus from traditional degree-based education to skill acquisition, addressing the evolving demands of the modern job market and entrepreneurial landscape. Recognizing the challenges in accessing formal education in Pakistan, this initiative emphasizes the importance of practical skills for sustainable livelihoods.
Objectives:
The main objective of this project is to raise awareness among students, parents, and communities about the significance of skills in the current age. The project also aims to encourage 5 million individuals to pursue skill development by December 31, 2025, engaging various public and private organizations.
Strategies:
The project will be implemented through the following strategies:
1. Community Workshops: Organize interactive sessions in schools, colleges, and universities on skill development opportunities and success stories.
2. Awareness Programs: Conduct seminars, workshops, conferences and campaigns highlighting the advantages of skill-based careers.
3. Media Utilization:
Republic Policy Think Tank provides a robust opportunity for the project to disseminate its hundreds and thousands of readers and audiences. Furthermore, the project aims to reach 05 million people through its partners in the public and private sectors.
a. E-Newspapers of Republic Policy: Publish articles and interviews with skilled professionals.
b. YouTube Channel of Republic Policy: Create engaging content showcasing skill training and its impact.
c. Magazines of Republic Policy: Feature stories on transforming individuals and communities through skills.
d. Social Media Platforms of Republic Policy: Leverage the power of social media to reach a broader audience with viral campaigns.
e. Engaging the media outlets, governmental institutions, NGOs, organizations, politicians and community leaders.
Implementation Plan:
The project will be implemented in the following phases:
1. Pre-Launch Phase (August 2024): Finalize partnerships, develop content, and set up communication channels.
2. Launch Phase (September 1 2024): Start the project with a seminar and disseminate the message through the Republic Policy Think Tank forums.
3. Execution Phase (September 2024 to December 2025 ): Roll out workshops, publish content, and monitor engagement across provinces.
4. Evaluation Phase (January 2025): Assess the project’s impact and adapt strategies for future initiatives.
