In an email sent to members outside their household in the United Kingdom, the streaming giant stated its new policy. “Starting today, we will be reaching out to members who are sharing Netflix accounts beyond their own residence,” the company explained.
To deter account sharing, the popular streaming service emphasized that each account is meant for use within a single household. Those wishing to share their account must now pay a fee of £4.99.
Furthermore, Netflix highlighted its ongoing commitment to providing a diverse range of captivating content. “We continue to make substantial investments in a wide array of fresh movies and TV shows, ensuring there’s always something gratifying to watch on Netflix, no matter your preferences, mood, language, or company,” the company stated.
