Rainstorm Chaos Hits Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Tragedy Unfolds

At least 28 individuals tragically lost their lives and over 100 sustained injuries following a deluge of heavy rainfall and powerful thunderstorms that battered various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab on Saturday.

According to the provincial authority responsible for disaster management, rain-related incidents claimed the lives of 25 individuals in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Karak, and Lakki Marwat in KP, while 145 people were left injured. Additionally, the downpour caused partial damage to 69 houses.

Providing a detailed breakdown, the PDMA reported that 15 fatalities and 100 injuries occurred in Bannu, accompanied by partial damage to 68 houses.

In a separate incident, the Lakki Marwat district witnessed the unfortunate demise of five individuals, with 42 others suffering injuries as a result of the relentless rainfall.
