Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov has debunked the notion of providing Pakistan with oil at a special bargain, asserting that the oil deliveries to Pakistan are on par with other buyers, without any preferential treatment. According to Russian state media, Voice of America (VoA) reported the minister’s remarks during an international economic conference in St Petersburg.
Addressing reporters, Shulginov confirmed that Russia has commenced exporting oil to Pakistan. Additionally, he disclosed that they had agreed to accept Chinese currency as payment. However, he dismissed the claims suggesting that Pakistan had secured exclusive discounts in the agreement.
