RAWALPINDI: Pakistan took a significant stride in bolstering its national defense capabilities on Tuesday as it successfully conducted a flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System, according to an official statement by the military’s public relations department.
This milestone event, closely overseen by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, witnessed the participation of high-ranking officers from the Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces Command, alongside a team of accomplished scientists and engineers representing strategic organizations.
In an official statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) explained that the primary objective of the test flight was to reaffirm the effectiveness and functionality of various design components, technical parameters, and performance measures across the weapon system’s sub-systems.
The military’s media outlet further highlighted that this missile system’s deployment serves the dual purpose of reinforcing deterrence and elevating strategic stability within the region. This enhancement aligns with the broader strategy of implementing “Full Spectrum Deterrence” within the framework of “Credible Minimum Deterrence.” This development signifies Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional security and stability.
