There is no comparison between the military might of Israel and the helpless people of Gaza in terms of weaponry and resources. Israel is a colonial state that practices racism and oppression, and receives massive support from the most powerful country in the world, as well as praise from many Western countries for its brutal attacks on Gaza as a form of ‘self-defence’. Israel has one of the most violent and destructive armies in the world, and secretly possesses nuclear weapons, which it uses to enhance its technological edge in the military field. In contrast, there are two million Gazans, who are wounded, battered and barely surviving after almost two months of a relentless assault. Most of them are poor, and struggle to feed their families due to the blockade imposed by Israel since 2007. This harsh siege has become even worse after the events of Oct 7. Under the pretext of destroying Hamas, Israel has killed over 15,000 men, women and children in Gaza, and also terrorized the people in the occupied West Bank. However, despite Israel’s military advantage, the Palestinians are winning the war of narratives.

When Israel harms children, attacks hospitals and refugee camps, and deprives civilians of food, water and electricity, every person with a conscience can recognize who the perpetrator is, and who the victims are. When Israeli officials call Palestinians ‘animals’, and advocate the ethnic cleansing of Gaza, a large part of the world can see through the propaganda in the mainstream Western media that portrays Israel as a ‘fortress’ of civilization, and witness the contemporary barbarism in its most extreme form. Thanks to non-Western media sources, especially the brave Palestinian journalists who have sacrificed their lives to tell their story, as well as many reliable social media accounts, Israel’s propaganda experts have failed badly in the war of narratives.
