Tragic Ambush in Rahim Yar Khan: 11 Policemen Martyred, 7 Injured

A devastating ambush by riverine dacoits in the Machka area of Punjab’s Rahim Yar Khan resulted in the martyrdom of eleven policemen, with seven others sustaining injuries. The attack took place while two police vans were returning from their weekly duties, and one of the vehicles developed a malfunction. The sudden rocket attacks led to the tragic loss of lives and injuries.

Punjab’s Regional Police Officer, Rai Babar Saeed, confirmed the casualties and stated that the injured personnel were promptly transported for treatment. Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, took notice of the incident, and the Chief Minister expressed determination in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
