In a grim update, the death toll from the devastating suicide blast in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Friday has risen to 52, with one of the victims identified as a police officer. An additional 60 individuals are reported to have sustained injuries, according to the district administration.
This horrific incident, marking the second major explosion in the district this September, shook the area near a mosque, claiming the lives of 43 people at the scene.
The Mastung district administration also confirmed that 51 of the injured individuals have been transferred to Quetta. Among the tragic casualties is Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gashkori.
