High-speed diesel (HSD) is expected to see a bigger reduction of Rs10 per litre, lowering the price from Rs267.95 to Rs257.95.

Kerosene oil may also become cheaper, with a potential decrease of Rs3.45 per litre, bringing its price down from Rs174.85 to Rs171.40.

Similarly, light diesel oil (LDO) could see a Rs5.60 per litre drop, reducing its cost from Rs161.06 to Rs155.46.

These adjustments are based on current global oil prices, petroleum levies, a stable exchange rate, and government taxes.

In the past two weeks, Brent crude prices fell by 1.4% to $74.14 per barrel, while WTI dropped 1.5% to $70.33. Market trends have shifted from concerns over supply shortages to expectations of stable availability, partly due to a slight increase in Russian crude production.
