In a bid to keep pace in the competitive world of AI technology, Google has announced plans to update its generative AI chatbot, Bard, to assist individuals in writing code for software development.
Bard was launched last month as a direct response to the release of ChatGPT, a chatbot created by the Microsoft-supported OpenAI, which prompted a scramble in the tech industry to bring AI technology to a wider audience.
According to Google, Bard can code in 20 programming languages, including Java, C++, and Python, and will also offer debugging and code optimization assistance, with simple prompts such as “Could you make that code faster?”
