Israel issued new evacuation orders for Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza late Sunday, forcing more families to flee as it plans operations against Hamas and other groups in the area.

In recent days, Israel has issued multiple evacuation orders across Gaza, the most since the start of the 10-month conflict. This has led to protests from Palestinians, the United Nations, and relief officials about the shrinking humanitarian zones and lack of safe areas.

The Deir Al-Balah municipality reported that these orders have displaced 250,000 people so far.

In a statement on X, the Israeli military urged residents in certain zones to move west immediately, labeling their current area as a “dangerous combat zone.”

Israeli airstrikes on Monday killed at least seven Palestinians, according to medics. Two were killed in Deir Al-Balah, where about a million people are sheltering, two at a school in the Al-Nuseirat camp, and three in Rafah, near the Egyptian border.

Later on Monday, an Israeli strike on a tent in Gaza City killed six Palestinians and injured several others, medics told Reuters.

The new evacuation orders forced many families and patients to leave Al-Aqsa Hospital, the main medical facility in Deir Al-Balah, where hundreds of thousands of residents and displaced people had sought refuge.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) reported that an explosion approximately 250 meters from the MSF-supported Al-Aqsa Hospital caused panic. MSF is now considering suspending wound care temporarily while trying to maintain life-saving treatments.
