The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an advisory urging people to take necessary precautions against the impending heat wave and avoid unnecessary travelling. The NDMA has warned that temperatures could rise three to five degrees Celsius in the coming days, leading to heatwave conditions. In its latest advisory, the NDMA has recommended that livestock owners take measures to protect their cattle during extreme heat, while farmers should adjust their routines in line with the weather conditions.

The advisory comes as the country is bracing for an intense heat wave, with temperatures expected to soar higher than normal from tomorrow till Friday. The NDMA has urged people to stay indoors during the peak hours of the day and avoid going out unnecessarily. It has also advised people to drink plenty of water and keep themselves hydrated at all times.

The NDMA has also warned that the heat wave could have a severe impact on the health of vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing medical conditions. It has recommended that these groups avoid going out in the sun and take extra care to stay cool and hydrated.

In addition to the heat wave, the NDMA has also mentioned the latest forecast by the Meteorological Department, which predicts a chance of rain, wind, hail, and thunderstorms during the weekend in different parts of the country. The NDMA has advised people to be prepared for any weather-related eventualities and take necessary precautions to keep themselves safe.

The NDMA’s advisory serves as a timely reminder for people to take necessary precautions and adjust their routines in line with the weather conditions. By staying indoors during the peak hours of the day and taking measures to stay cool and hydrated, people can protect themselves from the harsh effects of the impending heat wave.
