Pakistan is committed to facilitate fully orderly movement of people and goods across the Afghanistan border based on the principles of inter-state relations and we will continue to take steps towards this end.
This was said by the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, while answering the questions of the media regarding the remarks of the Deputy Interim Foreign Minister of Afghanistan.
He said that no selfish and fabricated claims regarding the legitimacy and sanctity of Pak-Afghan border can change the facts of geography, history and international law.
The spokesperson said that the Afghan side would be well advised to address Pakistan’s genuine security concerns, rather than trying to divert public attention with such dire public announcements.
