Shehbaz Meets Erdogan, Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Stability

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where both leaders discussed regional peace and bilateral cooperation.

President Erdogan appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, while Sharif thanked Turkiye for hosting the forum and termed it a key platform for global dialogue.

The two leaders reviewed developments in the Middle East, stressing the importance of sustaining ceasefire efforts and advancing lasting peace. They also reaffirmed strong Pakistan-Turkiye ties and agreed to hold the 8th High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting in Ankara later this year.

On the sidelines, Sharif met several global leaders, including Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Ilham Aliyev, and joined a trilateral meeting with Turkiye and Qatar, focusing on Gaza and regional stability.
