Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar asserted on Tuesday that regional peace hinges on the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute between Pakistan and India.
Addressing the officer graduation ceremony at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy Asghar Khan, PM Kakar emphasized, “Let me make it clear that there can be no peace without the settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir issue.”
While expressing Pakistan’s commitment to being a peace-loving nation and fostering friendly relations, particularly with its neighbors, Kakar firmly clarified that the country’s pursuit of peace should not be misconstrued as a sign of weakness.
The prime minister condemned the dire human rights situation in occupied Kashmir and affirmed that Pakistan, while avoiding an arms race, would consistently enhance its capabilities in alignment with advancing technology to deter any potential aggression. The statement underscores Pakistan’s dedication to regional stability while emphasizing its resolve to maintain a strong defense posture.
