Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif led a critical meeting on Thursday aimed at reforming the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to enhance tax and revenue collection.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of leveraging modern technology to improve tax collection processes. He also highlighted the need for training FBR officers to maximize their effectiveness.
Additionally, he called for a strategic overhaul of Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) and stressed the need for stronger measures to combat smuggling.
PM Shehbaz urged the FBR to create a welcoming environment for taxpayers and urged officers to follow through on the reform initiatives. He reiterated that utilizing modern technology is essential for making the country’s tax and revenue system more effective.
