President Asif Ali Zardari has warned that India’s attempts to weaponize water against Pakistan will neither succeed nor be tolerated. Addressing the World Summit for Social Development in Doha, he said Pakistan faces a “new threat” in the form of water aggression and condemned India’s continued violations of the Indus Waters Treaty.
The president underscored that sustainable peace and social progress require equality, solidarity, and respect for human rights. He urged global cooperation to eliminate poverty, promote decent employment, and ensure inclusive international institutions responsive to the Global South’s needs.
